One drawback: It's difficult to roll down the passenger-side window to talk with someone on that side of the car if you are driving alone. Involves the whole unbuckling of the seatbelt and leaning way over to roll down the window thing. Extra difficult for those with length-challenged arms. :o)

I miss roll-ups for all the reasons you mentioned. But, the best thing about electric windows, is that when a bee,wasp,yellow-jacket, etc., is lurking about the passenger side window while you are driving - you can keep him out with the push of a button. You used to have to pull over or dangerously lean over to shut the window.
